Spring Camps at Kids Play Garden
“Nowadays, many children under the age of seven aren’t getting the time for free play that is needed to develop certain areas of their brain and well being. With our concept, we believe kids learn best through play, and have designed a learning center and our camps for just that.” said Maren Anderson, founder of Kids Play Garden.
The exciting events planned include:
Monday, March 28 - Gardening Day: Kids will learn how to plant seeds, decorate pots, learn how plants use the soil and sun to grow and will create art with leaves and sticks.
Tuesday, March 29 - Art Lab: Kids will learn about famous artists, explore art through drawing and painting and use recycled materials to make their own works of art.
Wednesday, March 30 - Camping Day: Kids will go on a nature walk, learn about animals and plants, learn how to fish (indoors), make s’mores and sing campfire songs.
Thursday, March 31 - Theatre Day: Kids will put on their own play by choosing characters and costumes. They will learn how to improv games and create their own sock puppet for a play.
Friday, April 1 - Fun “Free Play” Day: Kids will play games, have a dance party, learn new yoga poses and create their own masterpieces in an open art lab.
