  Working in local TV news was something I wanted to do since I was a child...ask my parents, I would stage interviews and anchor from the couch in our ranch-style home when we had smooth wood hugging the TV and its 4 channels. ABC, NBC, CBS & PBS during the 1980s. My dad is a news lover and from a young age, I always watched news. Most parents in today's world would say "She's too young. You can't expose kids to that!" But when did a Nelson truly listen to other people? I grew up watching Charleston TV news. I idolized local reporters during Hurricane Hugo like Cathy O'Hara, had a crush on Dan Krosse and was even scared to walk up to Kellen Butler when we were both at the Music Farm. Dorian's wrath on Firefly Sunset Resort in Abaco

 Saying a prayer for Firefly Sunset Resort in Hope Town, Abaco, Bahamas. We've been lucky enough to work with them for almost a decade. Sadly, Hurricane Dorian made landfall on the small paradise Elbow Cay, the home of Firefly Sunset Resort. The hurricane was so damaging for Abaco and Grand Bahama, but we know how strong those residents are and they will rebuild. Trauma Expert Dr. Jennifer White-Baughan Accepting New Patients

Charleston’s loss is Sausalito's gain. Expert trauma psychologist, Dr. Jennifer White-Baughan Ph.D, has relocated her office from Charleston, SC, to Sausalito (1505 Bridgeway) and a part time office in Mill Valley. Her impact upon not only myself, but many trauma survivors, is beyond explanation and I’m here today because of her EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming) and trauma survivor work with me  due to the murder of my friend in our home.    Ironically, the trauma expert became a trauma patient.   While living in Bali (during her transition from East Coast to West Coast), it was a surreal time for Jennifer— the people, the smells, the beauty — the last thing she expected was to be pummeled by a motorbike in May 2016, knocking her down to the gravel ground that not only imprinted small rocks into her head and face… but imprinted upon her grey matter. She was injured with a severe brain bleed in her visual cortex.
