Sip While You Shop at Holiday Open House at Irvin-House Vineyards and Firefly Distillery

All of the excitement and stress of the holiday season is here. With many scurrying about fulfilling Christmas shopping lists, they’re also planning ways to entertain family and friends. Instead of shopping the “big box” chain stores, escape to Charleston’s only winery, Irvin-House Vineyards and Charleston’s first and largest distillery, Firefly Distillery, for their annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 13 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. 



 Food, hot mulled wine, local crafts and live music will get you into the Christmas spirit.


This annual festive event will have local vendors selling delightful seasonal gifts, and shoppers over the age of 21 will receive a complimentary glass of our homemade, hot mulled wine. While shopping, guests can enjoy the musical sounds of The Plantation Singers, enjoy the tastes of Stono Café and enjoy a picture with Santa under the oaks starting at 3:30 p.m.



If you’re in need of the perfect gift, the Firefly Distillery and Irvin-House Winery will have Lowcountry gift baskets already created for purchase, or relax under the oaks while a custom basket is made to order for you, which include the Irvin-House Vineyards variety of wine, and Firefly spirits. Shipping options are available.  
Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or a blanket to relax on the expansive lawn. Food will be available for purchase from Stono Cafe' and Irvin~House Vineyards wine may be purchased by the glass or bottle and enjoyed outside. 

Tastings in the Firefly Vodka distillery and Irvin~House Vineyard winery are only $6.00 to taste 6 of 24 flavors of Firefly Spirits and $5.00 to taste 5 wines. Patrons will receive complimentary glasses during both tastings. Pets are allowed but must be leashed, and no coolers please. Regular hours at the vineyard are Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please check our website for information on special holiday hours and closings.

Trauma Expert Dr. Jennifer White-Baughan Accepting New Patients

Charleston’s loss is Sausalito's gain. Expert trauma psychologist, Dr. Jennifer White-Baughan Ph.D, has relocated her office from Charleston, SC, to Sausalito (1505 Bridgeway) and a part time office in Mill Valley. Her impact upon not only myself, but many trauma survivors, is beyond explanation and I’m here today because of her EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming) and trauma survivor work with me  due to the murder of my friend in our home.    Ironically, the trauma expert became a trauma patient.   While living in Bali (during her transition from East Coast to West Coast), it was a surreal time for Jennifer— the people, the smells, the beauty — the last thing she expected was to be pummeled by a motorbike in May 2016, knocking her down to the gravel ground that not only imprinted small rocks into her head and face… but imprinted upon her grey matter. She was injured with a severe brain bleed in her visual cortex. Great news! Our new client, Carolina Global Inc.'s new beverage Happy Juice Express is debuting in stores as you read this.
