Celebrate the new Firefly Sunset Resort

Enjoy nightly sunsets at Hope Town’s newest resort, Firefly Sunset Resort. Set on the Sea of Abaco on Elbow Cay in the Bahamas, the new Firefly Sunset Resort is now open for the season. Sustainably built by Firefly Vodka co-creator, Jim and Ann Irvin of Charleston, South Carolina, this whimsical resort offers seven villas and cottages with full size kitchens, three pools, a snorkeling reef, WIFI and an on-site restaurant, Firefly Bar & Grill. Firefly Sunset Resort is already a local favorite for its nightly sunsets and delicious cocktails.

Located just 200 miles east of West Palm Beach, FL and 100 miles north of Nassau, Hope Town is a quaint village on the beautiful island of Elbow Cay. Located on Elbow Cay, the resort features seven beautifully appointed rental properties. "Mint 2 Be" the honeymoon suite, sits nestled nicely on the edge of a beautiful coral cliff, suspended over the Sea of Abaco. Designed for romance, this two bedroom/two bathroom cottage has its own private plunge pool. "Java Rum Plantation House" boasts three bedrooms/two bathrooms and is steps to the white sandy beach. Decorated with rich Brazilian wood and rustic island decor. "Dragonfly", "Firefly" and "Butterfly" are our two bedroom/two bathroom cottages designed with modern yet tropical interiors and beautiful water views. "Sweet T" & "Georgia Peach" are four bedroom/four bathroom villas that feature stunning elevated views of the Sea of Abaco, rich Brazilian wood accents, and stylish Caribbean decor. The cottages and villas are perfect for long stays with family, weddings, special events or brief getaways to celebrate your love.

“We’re very excited about the opening of this resort. We were looking for a place to rent so our whole family could vacation together, but as soon as we saw this property we fell in love with it,” said resort owner, Ann Irvin, whose husband Jim is a partner of Firefly Vodka, made at Irvin~House Vineyard on Wadmalaw Island, SC.

The resort is managed by property manager, Lorenzo Barigelli and his wife Patricia, who live on the property and are easily accessible to guests. The resort opened quietly in May 2011, but enjoyed plenty of guests who heard about the resort via word of mouth.
To celebrate this new venture, Firefly Sunset Resort is hosting a Grand Opening Celebration on Friday, November 25.
